Weekend Update: Boycott Season + Rally for Democracy Unplugged
What to know about this coming weekend
Dear neighbors,
‘Tis the season… for boycotts!
No Contract, No Coffee: Avoid Starbucks and support the baristas as they strike on Red Cup Day to protest unfair labor practices.
Blackout the System: Join the mass blackout from November 25 to December 2 in the largest coalition boycott/strike effort yet. No spending, no work, no surrender. If you must shop that week, choose small businesses only.
We Ain’t Buying It: This related but longer-term action takes aim at stock prices of specific major corporations that are enabling the fascist administration: Target, Home Depot, and Amazon.
Sunday 11/16: “Rally Unplugged” at the Weekly Rally for Democracy
This Sunday November 16th, join OC Indivisible Coalition & 50501 Orange County at Irvine City Hall from 2-4pm for our weekly Rally for Democracy! Sunday’s rally will be a scaled-back version of what we normally do. Expect crossing guards and music, but no speaking program.
Remember to check the weather forecast before heading out, and prepare accordingly. We meet rain or shine!
