Weekend Update: Rally for Democracy & Food/Essentials Drive
What to know about this coming weekend
Dear neighbors,
It’s been an utterly infuriating end of the week with the obvious cover-up and illegal delay of the long-awaited Epstein files. Come banish some of that frustration by joining your community at our weekly rally and food/essentials drive! We spoke to our partners at United Across Borders Foundation this week and they let us know that your contributions are still so important and so needed at this time.
Sunday 12/21: Weekly Rally for Democracy, Food/Essentials Drive, and Whistle Kits
This Sunday December 21st, join OC Indivisible Coalition & 50501 Orange County at Irvine City Hall from 2-4pm for our weekly Rally for Democracy!
Help us blow the whistle on ICE! Come help package up whistles, zines, and red cards for our local community defense groups. Find and join yours here.
Plus, the food & essentials drive is still on. Priority items include cooking oil, canned meals, protein, toilet paper, body and dish soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, and diapers in larger sizes.
Heads up: Through at least the end of the year, Sunday rallies in Irvine will continue to be an “unplugged”, scaled-back version of what we normally do as volunteers rest and recuperate from 9 months of nonstop weekly and daily organizing. We will still be collecting mutual aid donations each week and providing an upbeat and safe space for protesters, but there will be no speaking program or pop-up tents. Not to worry, we will be incorporating survey results into new and refreshed actions in the new year!
Sunday December 21st, 2PM-4PM

Saturday 12/20: Free Self-Defense Class with Greg!
This and every Saturday morning at 10am, join our dear friend Greg at the free self-defense class he hosts each week next to Soccer Field A in Bill Barber Park (that’s the park right next to Irvine City Hall!)
